Lettering That Doesn’t Suck Shit.

So I feel like I should put the obvious disclaimer here that I’m not professing to be an expert at this, but these are just the things over the last year or so that I’ve notice that really irritate in me in a lot of comics.

The font that I use is called Wild Words and it can be downloaded here. Blambot.com also has a ton of free comic fonts.

There are a lot of free or cheap alternatives to Illustrator/Photoshop, such as Inkscape, Manga Studio, and Sketch. And Todd Klein/Mark Chiarello’s book, The DC Comics Guide to Coloring and Lettering Comics can be found here.

Fun Fact: The first example is from an old comic I drew in high school.
